Parmis Building
2024
No.26, located in the Bahonar neighborhood of Ahvaz, is a bold example of contemporary architectural expression rooted in material honesty and urban awareness. The façade presents a refined interplay between solid and void, where brick volumes frame perforated panels and vertical fins to create depth and dynamic shadow play. The two offset brick cubes add a sculptural character, breaking the monotony of vertical stacking and giving the building a unique skyline. The warm tone of the brick cladding contrasts elegantly with dark stone-like materials and transparent glass, striking a thoughtful balance between solidity and openness.
At the street level, No.26 features a clearly defined entrance framed by landscaped elements, a linear gate, and pergola-style shading. The rhythmic use of vertical elements emphasizes height without overwhelming the context. The perforated brick screens serve both as shading devices and privacy filters, allowing filtered light into interior spaces. Altogether, this building expresses a modern identity while respecting traditional materials and responding gracefully to its dense urban surroundings in Bahonar, Ahvaz.
